This correspondence took place between February and September of 2021 and concern the publication of a special issue of Poetry Magazine focused on abolition, although they are part of an ongoing correspondence. His chapbook, “Here is Home” was the winner of the 2021 Toi Derricotte & Cornelius Eady Chapbook Prize. Webster and Demetrius “Meech” Buckley, a poet currently incarcerated by the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) with work in Apogee, RHINO, and the Michigan Quarterly Review.
